The Rapid Fired Pizza Female Athlete of the Week (April 3-9) is track & field distance runner Bethany Sholl. The senior from Scarborough, Maine set a new school record in the 10,000 meters with a time of 35:19.68 to place fourth of 43 runners at the Lee University Flames Invitational on Friday, April 8 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The mark lowers the previous record by more than 20 seconds and also meets the NCAA II provisional standard.
