Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Cedarville Female Athlete of the Week (May 8-14) is women's track & field distance runner Rachel Sweeney-Bredeson. The graduate student from Xenia, Ohio eclipsed her own school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Lee University Last Chance Meet on Saturday, May 14 in Cleveland, Tennessee. She placed fifth in the race in a season-best time of 10:36.10 to edge her previous CU record by 1.23 seconds. More importantly, Bredeson moved up the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying list to 15th in the country.
