Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Cedarville Male Athlete of the Week (May 22-28) is baseball player Sam Punzi. The graduate student catcher from Eastampton, New Jersey was voted to a pair of NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region teams for the 2022 baseball season. He earned second team honors by both the D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). Punzi batted .345 with a school record 13 home runs in what was his only season at Cedarville after playing four years at Division I Iona.
