Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The final Cedarville Female Athlete of the Week for the 2021-22 athletic season is women's cross country and track & field performer Rachel Sweeney-Bredeson. The graduate student from Xenia, Ohio was named the Yellow Jacket Club Female Athlete of the Year. Sweeney-Bredseson placed sixth in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase to earn All-America honors at the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship as she smashed her own school record in becoming just the third Lady Jacket to be an NCAA Outdoor All-American. She is a Dean's Honor List student as a pharmaceutical science major and earned the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship Elite 90 Award for having the top GPA among all competitors.
