The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Male Athlete of the Week (Sept. 25-Oct. 1) is soccer player Mauricio Ochoa Vazquez. The senior forward from Queretaro, Mexico snapped a scoreless duel in the 49th minute when he flicked in a header off a cross by teammate Brett Vaughn that led the Yellow Jackets to a 2-0 final result over the University of Findlay Oilers. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference match was played on Thursday, Sept. 29 in Findlay, Ohio.
