The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Feb. 5-11) for the second-consecutive time is women's track distance runner Savannah Ackley. The sophomore from Hart, Michigan set a school record in the 5,000 meters at the Grand Valley State Big Meet Friday in Allendale, Michigan on February 10, 2023. Ackley's time of 16:42.97 met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard and is the seventh-fastest time in Division II this winter. She was also a member of the distance medley relay (DMR) quartet that hit the NCAA DII provisional mark of 11:56.71 seconds on Saturday, Feb. 11.
