The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Feb. 26-Mar. 4) is track & field distance runner Savannah Ackley. The sophomore from Hart, Michigan was one of 18 athletes to qualify in the 5,000 meters for the upcoming NCAA Division II Indoor Championships. Ackley set the school record this winter of 16:42.97 at Grand Valley State and also holds the No. 3 effort on CU's all-time list.
