The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Feb. 28-Mar. 6) is track & field distance runner Evan Thayer. The sophomore from Naperville, Ilinois, finished fourth in the finals of the 1,000 meter run at the 45th Annual Men's NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, March 6 in Johnson City, Tenn. Thayer's effort of 2:27.38 was a new school record in the event and also earned him All-America honors.
