The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (May 14-20) is soccer player Audrey Nelson. The sophomore forward from West Chester, Ohio was selected as the female recipient of the 2022-23 Don and Nedra Callan Sports Ministry Award at the Sixth Annual Golden Jacket Awards on Wednesday, April 26. Nelson was honored for her evangelism in and through sports activities while at Cedarville University. She has played for the Chicago Eagles - a division of Missionary Athletes International - and will return to the club this summer. Nelson has also served with On Goal Soccer Ministries for two years and participated on a soccer mission trip to Ecuador.
