Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Dec. 3-9) is track & field distance runner Savannah Ackley. The junior from Hart, Michigan placed third in the 5,000 meter run at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open on Friday, Dec. 8 in Allendale, Michigan. Ackley was timed in 16:45.97 and met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard at the Kelly Family Sports Center. Her mark ranks No. 2 on the Lady Jackets' all-time Top 10 list - exactly three seconds behind her school record.
