The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Jan. 7-13) is basketball player Lydia Sweeney. The 5-8 senior guard from Grand Island, New York matched her career-high of 33 points in a 69-60 Great Midwest Athletic Conference win over Lake Erie College on Thursday, January 11 in the Callan Athletic Center. Sweeney added eight rebounds, a career-high seven assists, and three steals and she is now averaging 24.3 ppg in the last seven games.
