The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Feb. 4-10) is track & field distance runner Savannah Ackley. The junior from Hart, Michigan topped her own school record in the women's 5,000 meter run at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet - Friday in Allendale, Michigan on Friday, February 9. Ackley placed sixth in her section in 16:40.97 to lower her school record by exactly two seconds set nearly a year ago to the day at GVSU.
