The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Mar. 31-Apr. 6) is softball pitcher Casey Bertke. The senior right-hander from Cardington, Ohio fired a pair of complete game shutouts in G-MAC road games at Northwood and at Hillsdale. Bertke allowed three hits to go with five strikeouts in a 1-0 victory over the Northwood Timberwolves on Friday, April 5 in Midland, Michigan. She followed up with a six-hit, six strikeout effort in a 2-0 win against the Hillsdale Chargers on Saturday, April 6 in Hillsdale, Michigan.
