The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Apr. 28-May 4) is track & field distance runner Savannah Ackley. The junior from Hart, Michigan took first place in the 5K and 10K at the G-MAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship held Wednesday-Friday, May 1-3 in Hillsdale, Michigan. Ackley won the 10K in 35:03.76 on Wednesday, May 1 - the third fastest time in school history and it met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark. She added the 5,000 meter crown on Friday, May 3 with a winning time of 17:28.04. Cedarville finished fifth overall in the 13-team event.Â
