The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Male Athlete of the Week (Apr. 28-May 4) is track & field sprinter Jeremy Johnson. The sophomore from Warsaw, Indiana set a school record in the 400 and was part of another one in the 4 x 400 relay at the G-MAC Men's Track & Field Championship held May 1-3 in Hillsdale, Michigan. Johnson finished second in the 400 meter final with a new school record of 47.25 seconds which lowered his NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time. He was part of the third-place 4 x 400 meter relay squad with a 3:12.07 performance which broke the 14-year old school record and met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard. The Yellow Jackets finished seventh overall in the 11-team event.
