The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (May 5-11) is track & field pole vaulter Haleigh Eckert. The senior from Mason, Ohio broke her own school record in the pole vault for the second straight week with a 13-1.75 (4.01 meters) effort at the Lee Last Chance Meet on Saturday, May 11 in Cleveland, Tennessee. Her performance which met the NCAA Division II qualifying standard established a new CU mark which she had previously set at the G-MAC Championships in Hillsdale, Michigan.
