Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Matt Schaeckenbach has been selected the Wallace & Turner Insurance Yellow Jacket Male Athlete of the Week! The junior from Iowa City, Iowa placed third in the high jump at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open by clearing 6-10.75 (2.10 meters) to meet the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark which currently is tied for third in the country. It was the best effort in the men's high jump at Cedarville in 21 years. Schaeckenbach is also a provisional qualifier in the 60 meter hurdles with a fourth place time of 8.08 seconds at GVSU.
