The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Jan. 2-8) is basketball player Kayla Jenerette. The 5-foot-5 freshman guard from Greenville, South Carolina helped the NAIA II #11 Lady Jackets to a pair of victories as their win streak increased to 11 straight. She scored 17 points with three assists and two steals in a 78-50 AMC win over visiting Mount Vernon Nazarene on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Jenerette hit for 15 points while adding six assists and four steals in an 85-65 verdict against NCAA II Urbana on Saturday, Jan. 8 in the Callan Athletic Center. Jenerette was 5-for-6 from behind the arc in the two games and leads NAIA II with a .582 long-range accuracy.
