The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Jan. 23-29) is track & field performer Matt Brooker. The sophomore from Spring Mills, Pennsylvania won the 3,000 meters in a school record time of 8:19.50 on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Lake Erie College Open in Geneva, Ohio. He shaved nearly five seconds off of the previous CU mark while posting the NAIA automatic qualifying effort in the non-scoring meet.
