Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (May 8-14) is baseball player Nate Davenport. The junior first baseman from Taylor Mill, Kentucky, blasted two home runs and totaled five RBI's as the Yellow Jackets defeated Bethel, 8-4, to wrap up the 2011 NCCAA Midwest Regional championship. Davenport did his damage in back-to-back innings with a two-run homer in the third and a three-run shot in the fourth inning in the game played on Wednesday, May 11 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Earlier in the day, Davenport had been named 2011 AMC Player of the Year.
