The male Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Feb. 5-11) is track & field distance runner Evan Thayer. The 6-foot senior from Naperville, Illinois won the mile and was part of the distance medley relay squad that ran to victory at the Indiana University Hoosier Hills meet on Friday, Feb. 10 in Bloomington, Indiana. Thayer captured the mile run event with a time of 4:14.83. He joined with Ryan Gustafson, Neil Klinger and Ethan Blagg to win the distance medley event with a mark of 10:17.36 - third-fastest all-time at CU. The meet was non-scoring.
