For the second consecutive week, the male Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Mar. 11-17) is basketball player Zimmy Nwogbo. The 6-foot-7 junior from Lithonia, Georgia led the Yellow Jackets to the NCCAA National Championship with a 74-56 victory over Emmanuel College on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Nwogbo, the Tournament MVP, poured in 21 points in the final game. He also dropped in 21 points for the #1 seed Jackets in an 88-68 win against Truett-McConnell on March 13. Nwogbo, an NCCAA All-America Second Team selection, registered a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds in a 74-56 semifinal verdict against Southwestern Assemblies of God on Thursday, March 14. The eight-team event was held at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana.
