For the second straight time, the female Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Mar. 11-17) is basketball performer Kayla Jenerette. The 5-foot-5 sophomore from Greenville, South Carolina helped leadf the Lady Jackets to a runner-up finish at the NCCAA National Tournament at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Jenerette started off with a 20 point, four assists and three steals performance in a first round 69-60 win over Roberts Wesleyan on March 13. She followed up with 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 67-51 semifinal decision versus Mount Vernon Nazarene. Jenerette, an All-Tournament selection and an NCCAA First Team All-America choice, scored eight points in the title game - a 62-44 loss to Colorado Christian on Saturday, March 17. The Lady Jackets were the #2 seed in the eight-team event.
