The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Feb. 15-21) is sprinter Alexa Winik. The freshman from Windsor, Ontario was named the Outstanding Performer of the Meet after leading the Lady Jackets to their fourth straight NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship in the Doden Field House on Saturday, Feb. 21. Winik won two individual events, setting school and meet records in both, and was part of a winning relay team that established another meet record. She won the 55 meter dash in 7.23 seconds and the 200 in 25.48. The 4 x 400 meter relay squad of Winik, Carolyn Cann, Bethany Davies, and Marla Rice produced another victory in 3:58.47.
