Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The female Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Mar. 30-Apr. 5) is softball pitcher Courtnie Spain. The junior righthander from Fairborn, Ohio tossed 12 shutout innings in helping the Lady Jackets to a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference victories. Spain hurled a four-hitter with six strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Ursuline on Monday, Mar. 31. She fired a three-hitter and added eight K's in a five-inning 8-0 verdict over Salem International on Saturday, Apr. 5.
