The male Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Dec. 1-7) is track & field sprinter Matthew Bird. The 6-foot-1 sophomore from Seminole, Florida won the 300 meter dash in school-record time to highlight Cedarville's first indoor track & field meet of the season the Tiffin University Open on Saturday, Dec. 6 in Tiffin, Ohio. Bird was timed in 36.54 seconds to set the new standard which was previously held by Ryan Bundenthal (36.74 - 2007).
