Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The female Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (April 13-19) is track & field thrower Ruth Towne. The junior from North Berwick, Maine helped Cedarville to their first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference title on Saturday, April 18 at the Yellow Jacket Track & Field Complex. Towne produced runner-up finishes in both the hammer (129-9) and the javelin (104-5) events. She placed third in the discus with a 114-4 effort and was named the Co-Field Athlete of the Year. The Lady Jackets won the six-team meet with 269 points.
