Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The male Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (April 10-16) is track & field distance runner Daniel Michalski. The junior from Xenia, Ohio won the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Azusa Pacific Invitational on Thursday, April 13 in Azusa, California. His time of 8:52.01, which met the Division II automatic qualifying mark, took more than three seconds off of the previous CU record set in 1977. Michalski followed up on Friday, April 14 with a personal-best effort of 3:46.71 in the 1,500 meters which met the NCAA DII provisional qualifying standard.
