Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Aug. 30-Sept. 5) is cross country performer Katie Gillespie. The freshman from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio made her collegiate debut a memorable one by winning the Shawnee State Invitational in Portsmouth, OH on Friday, Sept. 4. Gillespie, who completed the 5,000 meter course in 18:06, led the NAIA #2 Lady Jackets to the team title in the season-opening event. She was one of four rookies among CU's top five finishers.
