The Courtyard Marriott Springfield "Female Athlete of the Week" (Sept. 30-Oct. 6) is volleyball player Sierra Schuitema. The 5-foot-8 sophomore setter from Grant, Michigan led the Lady Jackets to a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference road wins last week. On Friday, Oct. 5 Schuitema handed out 46 assists to go with 11 digs in a 3-1 verdict over Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH. Schuitema followed up with a G-MAC record 61 assists in a five-set win at Ursuline College on Sat., Oct. 6 in Pepper Pike, OH.
