The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (December 2-8) is basketball player Abby Wolford. The 5-foot-5 senior guard from West Harrison, Indiana averaged 21.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in a pair of G-MAC home victories over Trevecca and Kentucky Wesleyan. Wolford tossed in 18 points to go with five boards in a 79-65 win over TNU on Thursday, Dec. 6. She followed up with a season-high 25 points and season-best six assists in an 89-78 verdict against KWC on Saturday, Dec. 8.
