The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (December 2-8) is basketball player Quinton Green. The 6-foot-7 freshman guard from Columbus, Ohio averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in victories against Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan. Green recorded 13 points and grabbed five boards in a 94-64 defeat of Trevecca on Thursday, Dec. 6 in the Callan Athletic Center. He poured in a season-high 19 points and brought down a season-high eight rebounds in a 76-59 win over visiting Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, Dec. 8.
