The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (Dec. 30-Jan. 5) is basketball player Baylee Bennett. The 5-foot-5 senior guard from Springfield, Ohio averaged 15.5 ppg including a 6-for-8 effort from three-point range in a pair of G-MAC road games. On Wednesday, Jan. 2 Bennett fired in 17 points and became the 26th member of CU's 1,000 Point Club in a 79-61 win at Malone in Canton, Ohio. She tossed in a team-high 14 points in a G-MAC setback at Walsh on Saturday, Jan. 5 in North Canton, Ohio.
