The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (January 20-26) is track & field thrower Lane Hluch. The 5-foot-10 senior from Rootstown, Ohio set the school record in the weight throw as CU took the team championship at the Capital Open on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Columbus, Ohio. Hluch's heave of 55-2.75 broke the previous mark by nearly a foot.
