The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (April 7-13) is track & field sprinter/long jumper Lyndsey Smith. The senior from Pompton Plains, New Jersey won four events as CU took the team title in the Centre College Twilight on Friday, April 12 in Danville, Kentucky. Smith sprinted to victory in the 100 (12.64) and 200 (25.74) while also winning the long jump at 17-4.25 (5.29 meters). She was also a member of the winning 4 x 400 meter relay unit with a 4:03.12 effort.
