Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (April 7-13) is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The sophomore from Warrenville, Illinois broke the school record in the pole vault as CU won nine events total and took the team championship at the Centre College Twilight on Friday, April 12 in Danville, Kentucky. Ansiel, already an NCAA Division II automatic qualifier, soared 17-1.75 (5.23 meters) to set the meet record and clip Yellow Jacket Jason Scott's previous mark of 17-1.
