The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (April 21-27) for the third-straight time is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The sophomore from Warrenville, Illinois added a quarter inch to his school record with a winning performance at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic on Saturday, April 27 in Columbus, Ohio. Ansiel cleared 17-3 (5.26 meters) to tie for the top spot, but he claimed the victory with fewer misses.
