Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (Feb. 9-15 is basketball player Branden Maughmer. The 6-foot-3 sophomore guard from Chillicothe, Ohio led the Yellow Jackets to a pair of important G-MAC wins. Maughmer tossed in a game-high 19 points as CU defeated Malone 74-58 on Thursday, Feb. 13 in the Callan Athletic Center. He followed up with 26 points including a three-pointer at the end of regulation to tie the game and a three-pointer in OT to push CU ahead for good as the Jackets won 98-91 over Lake Erie in Painesville, Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 15.
