Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Cedarville Female Athlete of the Week (Sept. 6-12) is cross country runner Alayna Ackley. The junior from Hart, Michigan ran to a nine-second victory to lead Cedarville to a runner-up finish at the Hillsdale Invitational in the women's cross country opener on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Hillsdale, Michigan. It was the first collegiate victory for Ackley who covered the 6,000 meters at Hayden Park in 22:08 for her first collegiate title. Ackley was also named the G-MAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
