The Cedarville Female Athlete of the Week (May 9-15) is track & field distance runner Rachel Sweeney. The senior from Xenia, Ohio broke the Lady Jackets' record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:37.33 at the Toledo Rocket Invitational on Saturday, May 15 in Toledo, Ohio. The mark was 12 seconds faster than her previous personal best and places her in position to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships May 27-29 in Allendale, Michigan.
