Chad Gwinn

Chad Gwinn has been an assistant men’s and women’s track & field coach since the beginning of the 2017-18 academic year.

He returned to his alma mater after spending the previous five years on staff at Union College in Barbourville, Ky.

Gwinn served as the Bulldogs’ head coach in cross country as well as track & field for the 2016-17 season. He guided the women to the Appalachian Athletic Conference outdoor title with the school earning the AAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coaching Staff of the Year Award.

As head coach of the both programs, Union touted four NAIA national qualifiers, six conference champions, and 28 all-conference athletes.

Gwinn was the Bulldogs’ assistant coach in cross country as well as track & field from 2013 through 2016. His throwers won three AAC titles and earned 23 all-conference honors in all.

Additionally, Union claimed the 2016 AAC Women’s Outdoor Track & field trophy.

The New Carlisle, Ohio product coached four years at Tecumseh High School where he was a graduate. He was the assistant track & field coach as well as an assistant football coach for the Arrows beginning his career there while still a student at CU.

Gwinn is a 2011 graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in comprehensive Bible. He earned a master’s degree in special education from Union College in 2017.

Chad and his wife, Amanda, live in New Carlisle, Ohio.
