AMHERST, N.Y. - Matt Niemiec scored twice and Kevin Bender recorded his sixth shutout of the season to pace Cedarville to a 3-0 American Mideast Conference victory at Daemen.

Niemiec gave the Yellow Jackets the early lead in the 4th minute on assists from Jason Bender and Joseph Mueller. The visitors took a 2-0 lead into the intermission after Eric Newman tallied in the 31st minute from James Twinem.

Cedarville, 9-3-3 overall and 4-0-2 AMC, wrapped up the scoring in the 67th minute. Niemiec scored his team-high 10th goal of the campaign on another assist from Twinem which was his team-leading eighth of the year.

Kevin Bender was credited with four saves in the match. CU outshot the Wildcats 22-11 overall and 8-4 in shots on goal. [STATS]
