McDERMOTT, Ohio - Cedarville won the Shawnee State Invitational for the third consecutive year with a 14-shot victory over runner-up Spring Arbor.
The Yellow Jackets posted scores of 297 and 305 for a 602 total on the 6,667-yard, par-72 layout at the Elks Country Club. Spring Arbor tallied 304-312-616.
First-round leader Brigham Michaud followed an even-par 72 with a 75 to tie for the top spot at 147. He lost the playoff for medalist honors when the scorecard was used beginning with the No. 1 handicap hole.
Chris Bennington tied for 3rd place at 74-74-148. Matt Yeiter was 8th (76-77-153), Nick Bigler was 13th (77-79-156), and John Stonkus tied for 18th (75-83-158).
Among CU's individuals, Trayton Ojala tied for 9th (77-77-154). Other scores were posted by Jacob Nafziger (78-80-158), Trent Roach (83-85-168), and #T.J. Pancake# (90-80-170).
Ben Mounts, the team's #2 player by scoring average, did not play in the tournament because of injury.
