Box Score WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Cedarville returned to action for the first time in two weeks and pulled away in the second half for a 67-51 win over West Virginia Tech at the Central State Classic.
The Lady Jackets, who had not played since defeating Wilberforce at home on Nov. 17, trailed for practically the entire first half.
Kayla Jenerette's three-point play with four seconds left knotted the score at 27-27 at the break.
Leading 42-38 midway through the second period, the Lady Jackets turned it on. CU embarked on a 13-3 run culminating in back-to-back three-pointers from
Becky Orchard.
Cedarville, 5-0 overall, clamped down by allowing just two field goals in the final 12 minutes. The final score was the largest lead of the contest.
Orchard hit 4-of-5 shots from beyond the arc to finish with 14 points. Jenerette totaled 13 points and
Lauryn Robinson hauled in 12 rebounds.
The Jackets made seven three-pointers in the decisive second half and shot 46 percent from the field for the game. They also owned the boards, 54-32.
