Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Charleston knocked down a school-record 16 three-pointers and rode the wave to hand the Lady Jackets their first defeat of the season, 84-65, in a non-conference contest.
Cedarville entered the game 6-0 overall and having allowed just 20 field goals total from beyond the arc. The Jackets were rated No. 3 in the country in three-point field goal percentage defense (16.4).
Charleston, 3-2, was not impressed. The Eagles finished 16-of-37 from deep for 44 percent.
CU fell into a 39-21 deficit with 8:30 left in the first half, but recovered to get within 48-40 by halftime.
Charleston started the final period with a 14-2 spurt. The difference swelled to 84-57 at the 4:45 mark before the Jackets netted the final eight points of the game.
Kayla Jenerette totaled 14 points and four assists for Cedarville. Backcourt mate
Raegan Ryan added 10 points and eight assists.
