Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Notre Dame placed five players in double figures and used a decisive second half performance to leave the Callan Athletic Center with a 77-65 victory over the Lady Jackets in a non-conference game.
Cedarville took a 38-35 lead into the halftime locker room with a solid 53 percent showing from the field. The shooting went south and the Falcons took advantage by outscoring the hosts 42-27 in the final 20 minutes.
NDC, 6-11 overall, never relinquished the lead in the final 15 minutes even though the Lady Jackets made a charge a got to within 64-62 with 4:30 left. The Falcons scored the next four points and finished the game with a 13-3 run.
Kayla Jenerette scored 17 points with four assists to lead Cedarville, 11-6.
Lauryn Robinson had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds,
Becky Orchard totaled 11 points with six assists, and
Deborah Chandler added 11 points.
“I must give a phenomenal amount of credit to Notre Dame,” said Head Coach
Kirk Martin. “They played with energy, played hard, and played smart. They were better than us today. We just couldn't match their intensity.”
Notre Dame's bench did most of the damage. The non-starters went 8-for-13 outside the arc and produced three double-figure scorers.
