MARION, Ind. - Top seed Indiana Wesleyan was too much for Cedarville in the NCCAA Midwest Region women's tennis championship match as the hosts came away with an 8-1 victory.
The Lady Jackets, who had a seven-match winning streak halted, end their season at 17-7 overall. The NAIA No. 16 Wildcats advance with their 22-1 mark.
The lone point for Cedarville came at #3 doubles.
Melissa Stoltzfus and
Maryssa Herbert were good for an 8-5 victory.
The 17 victories are the most in a single season during the seven-year tenure of Head Coach
Dr. Dee Morris and it came in CU's first active campaign as an NCAA Division II member.
