RESULTS

DAYTON, Ohio - No. 2 seed Cedarville blanked No. 3 Alderson Broaddus, 5-0, in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference women's tennis semifinal contest played indoors at Dayton Center Courts.

The Lady Jackets will host top seed Davis & Elkins in the championship match on Saturday at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex beginning at 10:00 a.m.

CU, 17-6 overall, bolted to a 3-0 lead after doubles. The points came from #1 Lauren Jackson and Joy Dice (8-2), #2 Lily Schuler and Courtney Heydt (8-1), and #3 Maryssa Herbert and Kristen Heydt (forfeit).

Kristen Heydt earned another point at #6 singles via forfeit. Once #4 Dice finished off an easy 6-0, 6-0 win, the Lady Jackets were declared the victor. They were leading in the other four matches.

The G-MAC final will be a rematch of a contest played at Davis & Elkins on April 5. The Senators, who are 18-5, defeated CU on their home court, 6-3.
