RESULTSOWENSBORO, Ky. - The Lady Jackets came up big in singles to post a 6-3 non-conference victory at Brescia to begin their 2014-15 schedule.
Cedarville trailed 2-1 coming out of doubles. The point came from the #2 tandem of
Lauren Jackson and
Emily Paul, 8-2.
The Jackets turned things around in singles by winning at the top five positions all in straight sets. Jackson led the way at the #1 spot, 7-6, 6-3.
Courtney Heydt was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the #2 position and #3
Lily Schuler came through, 7-6, 6-0.
The other two points came from #4
Maryssa Herbert, 6-4, 7-5; and #5
Elise Perry, 6-3, 6-0.
CU plays at Southern Indiana on Saturday at noon EDT.
