RESULTSKETTERING, Ohio - The Lady Jackets returned to the non-conference schedule and handed Bethel (Ind.) a 7-1 setback indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club.
The match was played to the point of decision along with allowing a couple matches to finish that were near completion.
It was a 2-1 score after doubles. The #2 squad of
Maryssa Herbert and
Kristen Heydt (8-1) as well as #3
Deanna Whalen and
Elise Perry (8-4) scored the points.
Cedarville dominated the singles led by #1
Lily Schuler, 6-4, 6-4. Other winners were #2
Courtney Heydt (6-3, 6-1), #3 Herbert (6-4, 6-1), #4
Kristen Heydt (6-3, 6-2), and #6
Kendall Heydt (2-6, 6-2, 10-3).
Whalen won the first set, 6-1, at #5 singles when her match was halted.
The Lady Jackets, 5-8, host Great Midwest Athletic Conference foe Central State on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
